Cat Soup (a.k.a. Nekojiru-Sou) is a multiple award-winning animated short film directed by Tatsuo Sato and inspired by the work of the late manga artist Chiyomi "Nekojiru" Hashiguchi. It centers around a family of anthropomorphic cats, specifically two kittens: the terminally ill Nyako and her younger brother Nyatta.

Nekojiru-Sou, or Cat Soup, is a very interesting anime. It's a 32 minute movie, with almost no dialogue and a very strange plot. If you want to watch something unique that you've never seen before, this is your show. The director is Masaaki Yuasa known for his works Mind Game and Ping Pong The Animation if that tells you anything.
